Growing up on a farm

I spent my entire childhood on a vegetable farm. I learned hard work in "Rush" times. There was no stable schedule of 35h/week, Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM @ 5:00 PM. The work define your schedule. When it is rush period, just execute. The farm has soft organic soil. So I learned to run on soft ground.

My beginnings in running

Like many other ultra-trailers, I started in obstacle run. In these races, the physical work and the connection with nature were linked to my childhood. But with age, some injuries appeared and fewer friends were interested in this type of race.

Introduction to trail running

Then, a friend introduced me to a trail running club. I loved it immediately. The spirit of brotherhood, respect, sharing and all that while being able to surpass oneself in all humility. And the races allowed me to visit breathtaking places. The more I ran, the more I wanted to do.

Critical injury

In 2019, during a trip to Costa Rica, I completely tore my left Achilles tendon. I had surgery a week later, on December 25. Then 1 month later, during a banal routine, I tore the same tendon again. The doctor told me that I would NEVER be able to run or play hockey again.

Rehabilitation

During the beginning of Covid, I started a rehabilitation with excellent physiotherapists. At first, I just wanted to walk, then, with diligent exercises I just wanted to run on the road. Then, with a good evolution, I started running again in Trail.

Willingness to push the limits

Surrounded by excellent friends and specialists I found back the path of the trails. And each year, I increased the volume:

2020 = 580km + 7,900m D+

2021 = 850km + 11,700m D+

2022 = 1100km + 20,900m D+

2023 = 1700km + 41,400m D+

2024 = 2300km + 65,000m D+

Inspiration - Motivation

Starting from immobile for 3 months, a gradual return to trail running:

2021 = Did a 28km at UTHC

2022 = An 80km at QMT

2023 = A 134km in Martinique

2024 = Then the legendary 125km of UTHC where only 50% finish

2025 = Fénix 135 km at QMT, where two-thirds of runners dropped out!

I love inspiring people to the joy of running!
